Couple: David + Ashley

Date:  9th September 2017

We were fortunate enough to be the wedding photographers for David and Ashley’s big day when they tied the knot a couple of weeks ago.

They held the whole day at Airth Castle, a stunning Castle with great views and loads of opportunities for great photographs. We started off the day by catching up with Ashley and David as they put the finishing touches to getting ready and were able to capture some really great moments.

The ceremony was conducted by Robert Anthony Humanist Celebrant, a really nice guy who conducted a lovely, personal, and heartfelt ceremony. There were moments of joy, laughter, and I’m sure David and Ashley weren’t too far from a wee happy tear or two.

After the official part of the wedding day was done, Ashley and David were able to relax and receive all the congratulatory hugs and kisses from their friends and family – which came in thick and fast :)

Just before heading down to the hotel we were able to get all the official photos taken with the stunning castle providing the perfect backdrop. We even managed to squeeze in a few wedding portraits of the happy couple round the grounds of the castle.

After Ashley and David (and Millie) led their guests from the castle, Hugh from Airth Castle surprised all the guests with an address to the haggis. He definitely knows how to warm up the room and get everyone excited for the speeches.

The speeches were fab, with David, Ashley’s dad (also David), and best man Harry all weaving tales from their lives and filling the guests in on what led everyone to be sharing in such a special day. In short… McDonald’s!

The party in the evening was kept in full flow thanks to Splendid Gentleman, an amazing wedding band who kept the floor packed all night. The perfect end to a spectacular wedding.
