Couple: Louise + Sandy

Date:  7th October 2017

A few weeks ago we got to photograph our first wedding at Boclair House. It’s a wedding we’ve been looking forward to for a long time because we knew when we met Louise and Sandy, that they were going to have a terrific day.

Louise and the girls got ready in a hotel just down the road from Boclair House and had a really relaxed, fun start to the day with plenty of laughs and just a little bit of bubbly. It was really nice to meet Chris from Chris Kelly films too, we’re really excited to see his video of the big day.

Sandy and his team of boys (and I do mean team, I think there was even a subs bench) got ready at his parents’ house and it was a total hive of activity. When so many friends get together in the one place you’re always guaranteed plenty of banter.

On to Boclair for the official part of the wedding, the ceremony. It was a lovely and personal service with a couple of readings and a traditional Scottish handfasting. We thought we were about to witness a Youtube style prank when Sandy said he didn’t recognise the rings, turned out it was a simple mix up but it certainly provided plenty of laughs.

After making use of the grounds of Boclair, and the sunshine for some great wedding photos it was time to head back inside for the speeches and dinner.

The evening’s celebrations were taken care of expertly (as usual) by Ernest Wedding Band. As a wedding photographer, you know when you see these guys setting up that Sandy and Louise, and all of their wedding guests are in for a great evening of non-stop dancing and entertainment. And we know we’re going to get some cracking wedding photos to round off a brilliant day perfectly!
